Marimekko Jokapoika dress

Made of cotton, the Jokapoika shirt dress has a relaxed fit and a straight cut, as well as a multicolored Piccolo pattern. The short-sleeved dress has collars, a metal button closure, a breast pocket and a detachable belt. The side seams have pockets and long slits in the hem. The fabric is printed in Helsinki. Contrary to the picture, the belt of the product does not have D-links.

Right in his first year at Marimekko in 1953, Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo, a striped fabric painted with free brushstrokes. Three years later, a shirt made of fabric called Jokapoika appeared in stores and on the street - apparently permanently.
