Made from high quality twill selvage denim, the fabric comes from Japan's famous Kaihara mill. A strong 15oz ring-spun fabric that feels stiff and like real denim on the skin. The clean finish comes from the warp threads being dipped in indigo an incredible thirteen times to give them a dense and deep finish. These give the jeans a beautiful fade over time. A gold-tone contrast thread and metal button finish off the classic traditional look. The blue selvage of the fabric deliberately flickers from the turn of the leg, which speaks volumes of quality to anyone who understands it.

The jeans are woven using a traditional technique, where the shuttle on the loom passes the thread back and forth, creating a selvedge edge on the edge of the fabric. The edge does not fray and looks like a red and white stripe when the leg is turned.
