The Carrier Midi bag is made of unbleached cotton linen and features a large Unikko flower pattern printed in Helsinki. A cotton ribbon printed with the text "Uniko's 60th anniversary" runs across the top of the bag, forming the carrying handles.

Maija Isola created the Unikko pattern, an international icon of pattern design, in 1964. Marimekko founder Armi Ratia thought that it was not possible to capture the true essence of flowers in a pattern. This is why Marimekko's collections did not previously include flowers. Maija Isola designed the Unikko pattern as an abstract interpretation rather than a photorealistic version of the floral theme. Today, the Unikko is a strong symbol of joy and creativity and an important part of Marimekko's design identity.
