Marimekko Maridenim products are designed in accordance with the Jeans Redesign guidelines of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, which promotes a circular economy. According to the guidelines, the denim material is made of full cotton (80% organic cotton and 20% recycled cotton) and does not contain elastane. In addition, the products do not use any additional metal parts and the buttons are removable. The washing, finishing and use of chemicals also follow the guidelines, and to produce the colors, patterns and desired feel of the products, we use, among other things, laser technology, E-Flow steam cleaning and ozone cleaning, and not, for example, traditional stone washing.
