Erja Hirvi created the cheerfully blooming Kukasta kukkaan (From Flower to Flower) pattern on the floor of her cottage at her summer place, completely immersed in floral motifs. The loosely designed pattern took shape as she painted, reflecting the countless positions of flowers in nature. The name of the pattern refers to the playful flight of bees among summer flowers.
