The Nila shirt is made of organic cotton poplin and has a loose fit, a straight cut and a Unikko pattern. The shirt has collars, a button placket and buttoned cuffs at the cuffs. The hem has a rounded cut and side slits.

Symbolizing creativity and courage, Unikko was born at a time when flowers were not a part of Marimekko's design world. However, Maija Isola was interested in the floral motif and decided to design a whole series of new, strong floral patterns.
