The Palindromi shirt has a relaxed fit, a straight cut, and features the Piccolo print, which is printed in Helsinki. The shirt has a collar, a concealed button closure, and loose, elbow-length sleeves with narrow cuffs. There is a yoke seam and a pleat at the back, and the hem has a curved cut and side slits.

Already in her first year at Marimekko in 1953, Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo, a striped fabric painted with free brushstrokes. Three years later, a shirt made from the fabric called Jokapoika appeared in stores and on the streets – apparently permanently.
