The Zip Top Backpack is made of polyester and features a jacquard-woven Unikko pattern. The spacious backpack closes with a zipper, has one large zipper pocket on the front and open pockets on the sides. There is a large padded pocket for a laptop on the inside. The adjustable shoulder straps have padding. A Marimekko key ring hangs on one side and a Marimekko brand label on the front.

Symbolizing creativity and courage, Unikko was born at a time when flowers were not a part of Marimekko's design world. However, Maija Isola was interested in the floral motif and decided to design a whole series of new, strong floral patterns.
