The jacquard-woven Sävellys scarf is made from a wool blend. The scarf features two large flowers in the Wedding Rose pattern, one at each end, and the Wedding Rose text in the middle of the scarf.

The Wedding Rose was created at a time when Marimekko's design world did not include flowers. However, Maija Isola was interested in the floral motif, and she decided to design a whole series of new, strong floral patterns. In addition to the Wedding Rose, the series also included Unikko.
