The Jokapoika shirt is made of organic cotton and has a relaxed fit and a straight cut. The Piccolo patterned shirt is printed in Helsinki. The pattern on the back of the front panel and on the inside of the cuff is a different color than the main color of the shirt. The shirt has collars, a metal button closure and a chest pocket. The cuffs have cuffs with metal buttons.

In her very first year as Marimekko, 1953, Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo, a striped fabric painted with free brushstrokes. Three years later, a shirt made from the fabric called Jokapoika appeared in stores and on the street – apparently permanently.
